Roles and Responsibilities
- Organize large and small outreach events, specifically in-home events. This includes the identification of, and coordination with, event hosts; identification and research of high level prospects; coordination of event speaker details; management of the invitation process, RSVP lists, and event follow up. Coordination of catering and venue related logistics.
- Non-Club gift solicitations, especially for current membership renewals and upgrades
- Utilize donor database management systems to manage member information and provide support to the Area Director
- Work in a team lead by the Boston Area Director, along with the Leadership Management Director, to identify creative and innovative strategies to achieve development, political and recruitment goals
- Recruit members to attend National events
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong community engagement and grass roots organizing skills
- Must be a strategic thinker, able to understand and act upon AIPAC's operational, financial, and political objectives
- Basic fundraising knowledge
- Event planning experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented, and posses excellent organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated, independent with the ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel and the ability to prepare statistical and written reports
- Working knowledge of the organized Jewish community
- Knowledge of Israel and Middle East politics, and an understanding of the local and national political landscape
